Business idea & history

Emballageteknik – History

Emballageteknik was founded in 1984 by Göran Forsmark, Lars Roll, and Håkan Forsmark. Anders Pontén joined the company in 1988.

Over time, production needs grew, and the company acquired Skumplastfabriken AB in 1988. This was the first of many acquisitions over the years.

The fact that Emballageteknik has grown over the years, including through the acquisition of production companies in various packaging sectors, has allowed the company to build up a substantial knowledge base.

Emballageteknik – Business Idea

To be a reliable partner and offer customers a cost-effective, comprehensive packaging solution that leaves the smallest possible climate footprint.

The company works with a wide range of solutions, both in terms of materials and construction.

Emballageteknik as a Partner

Emballageteknik’s strength lies in its independence from specific materials. We have our own production capabilities in all product areas, including foam plastics, corrugated cardboard, and wood.

We are involved from the start of a project, acting as a partner to develop the packaging product in consultation with the customer.

Standing on Multiple Legs

Today, Emballageteknik operates production facilities in Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia.

In addition to sales in these countries, the company’s largest markets are Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, and Finland.

The packaging industry is highly cyclical, but thanks to its breadth and flexibility, Emballageteknik has been able to maintain steady growth while gaining market share.

In addition to packaging, Emballageteknik manufactures hygiene products, industrial parts, seals, gaskets, washcloths, and sound insulation.
